Once you have learned to acknowledge and accept yourself as a unique, valuable and growing individual, you can risk the vulnerability of sharing yoursel to others. You can risk letting others get to know the real you. You can be authentic.
People will tend to respond to your honesty by becoming more authentic themselves, because they can sense that you will be able to extend to them the same spirit of acceptance that you give yourself.
The level o communication between two authentic people increases because as you accept and attempt to understand one another, you become less afraid of being judged, criticized or rejected. Shallow, impersonal exchanges are discharded in favor of sharing ideas, emotions, struggles and victories.
